Terms of Use
Last updated: 6 October 2026
These terms govern your use of DevForge. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Using the tools
The tools on this site are provided free of charge for personal and commercial use. You may use them for any lawful purpose, including work you do for an employer or a client. Output produced by the tools is yours; no licence is claimed over it.
You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt the site, or to gain unauthorised access to any system associated with it.
- Use automated systems to scrape or overload the site in a way that degrades service for others.
- Use the tools to generate content that is unlawful, or to facilitate an attack against a system you are not authorised to test.
- Republish the site's guides wholesale as your own work.
2. No warranty
The tools and guides are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- the tools will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free;
- results will be accurate or complete;
- any errors will be corrected.
This is not boilerplate padding — it is a genuine statement about the nature of the tools. The token counter produces estimates. The YAML parser covers a subset of the specification. The SQL formatter tokenises rather than fully parsing. Verify output before relying on it.
3. Verify before you rely on it
You are responsible for checking that the output of any tool is correct and appropriate for your situation. In particular:
- Token counts are estimates. Do not use them for billing. Use
your provider's own counting endpoint or the
usagefield on responses. - Pricing figures are dated and change frequently. Confirm on the provider's official pricing page before making financial commitments.
- Security guidance is general. It does not replace a review of your own system by someone with access to it.
- Generated values should be validated. Check hashes, identifiers and passwords against an independent implementation before depending on them.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DevForge and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the site or its tools.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.
5. Intellectual property
The site's design, code, written guides and tool implementations are owned by DevForge unless otherwise stated. You may:
- link to any page;
- quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link;
- use tool output freely, with no attribution required.
You may not republish whole guides, or mirror the site, without written permission.
6. Advertising
The site is funded by third-party advertising, currently Google AdSense. We do not control the content of third-party advertisements and are not responsible for the products, services, or claims they contain. Interaction with an advertiser is solely between you and that advertiser.
7. External links
Guides link to external documentation and vendor pages for reference. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.
8. Changes to the service
Tools may be added, modified, or removed at any time without notice. The site is maintained on a best-effort basis with no availability guarantee.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date at the top indicates the current version.
